In the summer of 2002 we decided to live another life, so we sold our home and
quit our jobs to go and travel for the coming time in our Mercedes Iglhaut
Sprinter.
We decided to go to Oman on our first trip, we had been in Oman before and
liked this country and its people very much. We also wanted to visit Iran again
and try to stay a bit longer in this fascinating country.
We also like Greece and Turkey very much, so we could visit these countries as
well on this trip starting from Holland.
We are specifically interested in the mountainous areas and their alpine flora
of
these countries. So, we walk quite a lot to find and photograph these plants.
For example, in the spring of 2000 we made a 6 week trip to Iran to look for
and
look at the various species of the genus Dionysia.
We just like nature in general, other plant species, (wild)animals, birds,
insects.
Also the often still nomadic people have our interest. Every time again it's a
real
experience to meet these often very hospitable people.
Since September 2005 we have returned to Holland, we have started to
organise specialist tours to the mountains of Greece for alpine plant and
